CageSport MMA recap:                                                                                                                                        2/21/2010

Fight 1: Jonte Willis (1-0) defeats Will Courchaine (2-4)

In a battle between two 210 lb fighters, it came down to who wanted it most. Early in the fight it seemed
that Courchaine's wrestling ability overwhelmed Willis, but in the end Courchaine ran out of gas and Willis
capitalized to win the fight.

Fight 2: Charlie Shaw (1-0) defeats Jose Rico (2-4)

This fight showed the young Charlie Shaw's ability to maneauver into many different submissions. He caught
Jose Rico early won the fight.

Fight 3: Chris Davis (3-0) defeats Chris Yee (4-5)

The undefeated Davis showed excellent skills and was able to control Yee for most of the fight.

Fight 4: Dave Courchaine (3-3) defeats Darrell Fenner (2-3)

Courchaine was able to put a choke hold on Fenner very early in the 1st round to win the fight .

Fight 5: Carmen Cassella (5-6) defeats George Stork (2-3)

In another quick fight, Cassella landed two or three clean shots to KO Stork and win the fight.

Fight 6: Calvin Horton (3-0) defeats Josh Snodgrass (0-2)

This fight was difficult to call. Both fighters had their moments during the fight. In the 1st round, Horton
slammed Snodgrass, in which would easily be considered the slam of the night. In the second, it was
Snodgrass who was able to dictate the pace. And in the 3rd, both fighters gave it everything they had.
It was Horton who squeaked out a close SD victory

Fight 7: Chanti Johnson (5-2) defeats Charon Spain (1-1)

In the first 10 seconds of the fight, Johnson was accidently kicked in the groin by Charon Spain.
After recovering, Johnson was able to hit Spain with a right hook that knocked spain down and
ended the fight.

Fight 8: Sarah D'Alelio (1-0) defeats Sarah Oriza (2-6)

The pro debut of D'Alelio ended shortly as she was able to put a choke hold on Oriza to end the
fight early in the 1st round.

CO Main: Tyson Johnson (4-0) defeats Lee Morrison (2-1)

Early in the 1st round, Morrison bullied Johnson with his superb wrestling skills. He took Johnson down
2 times and was able to land some nice ground in pound...but as he usually does, Johnson found an
opening and was able to catch Morrison in a submission to end the fight.

MAIN EVENT: Lloyd Woodard (8-0) defeats Mike Hanks (5-2)

The Championship fight was perhaps the most exciting fight of night! Woodard and Hanks began
the 1st round by testing each others stand up. Hitting each other with crisp shots and leg kicks.
Eventually, Woodard was able to take Hanks down and almost ended the fight early with a rear naked
choke. In the 2nd round, Hanks came out and was able to do some damage while standing. He caught
Woodard and knocked him down to the ground. Hanks then jumped on Woodard and landed about 4
clean shots. It looked as if the fight might end, but somehow Woodard survived and was able to gain his
composer. In round 3, Woodard recovered nicely and was able to finish off Hanks to win the CageSport
 Lightweight Championship!

CageSport MMA: 12/05/09                                                                                                                  12/08/2009

A night of firsts: At the December 5th, 2009 CageSport MMA show we had 7 out of 10 fights end
in the 1st round.

George Stork defeated Ray Armstrong by KO in the 1st RD

Calvin Horton defeated Andrew Valmonte by KO in the 1st RD

Charron Spain
defeated John Martinez by a rear naked choke Submission in the 1st RD

Dave Courchaine defated Justin Gardner by KO in the 1st RD

Tyson Johnson defeated Chris Ensley by KO in the 1st RD

Tim Welch defeated Dennis Parks by doctors stoppage at the end of the 1st RD

John Heath defeated Jared Torgeson by KO in the 1st RD

Julie Pena defeated Stephanie Webber by an armbar Submission in the 2nd RD

JT Taylor defeated Jory Erickson by SD

Lloyd Woodard defeated Sterling Ford with a 3rd RD armbar submission.

Analysis: The first 5 fights went by super quick. The winning fighters were prepared for battle and
got in the cage and took care of business.

In the fight between Dennis Parks and Tim Welch...It was a first round war! Parks took control early
and seemed to be dominating Welch but towards the end of the round Welch came on strong and
hurt Parks enough to warrant a doctors stoppage.

The fight of the night was between the ladies. Stephanie Webber and Julie Pena. They both battled
hard in the 1st round. Landing strike after strike, they continued to pummel each other throughout the
round and received a standing ovation after the first round. It was Pena though who in the 2nd round
caught Webber in an armbar and finished the fight.. Good Job Ladies!

In the Co Main Event, JT Taylor and Jory Erickson battled hard to a SD. It seemed like Erickson had
the upperhand with the wrestling but was unable to capitalize on the ground. Taylor on the other hand
did well standing up and did enough damage to get a SD victory!

And in the Main Event, Sterling Ford and Lloyd Woodard fought hard in what became a very technical
fight. In the first and second round it seemed as if Ford was picking apart Woodard with excellent grappling
skills. It looked like a victory for Ford until the 3rd RD where Woodard was able to fight back and catch
Ford in an armbar.
Lloyd Woodard improved to 7-0 with the victory!

Congratulations to all of our Winners!
